Our Story
Josh and I met in our early 20’s at his Birthday Party. He had traveled from Western Sydney to my hometown on the Mid North Coast with his mates to celebrate. A mutual friend introduced us, and at the end of the night, Josh walked me to my taxi. I (unknowingly at the time) shut the taxi door on his finger. Months later, when we met again, his fingernail was still purple.
He was ”Woodsy” and I was ”Bee”. Maybe deep down we still are.
In the early years of our relationship, we loved listening to Jack Johnson. One of our favourites was Angel. Four kids later, his lyrics – ”you gotta be careful when you’ve got good love, cause them angels will just keep on multiplying”- feel truer than ever. Together we created this BIG beautiful life: kids, a business, a huge home with acreage, side hustles, investments etc…
A life so big it swallowed us whole.
One day, while folding mountains of washing, I looked at Josh and asked, ”are you having a good time? Like are you enjoying all this?”He wasn’t. And the truth was, neither of us were. We didn’t even believe in the life we had created, we were just surviving it. Working six long days, staying up late doing bookwork once the kids went to bed, maintaining the house and property on our ”day off, raising kids we barely had time to enjoy. Becoming people we didn’t want to be. We’d abandoned our values, our vision.
This is our next chapter: living fully, laughing freely, and loving each other deeply – through travel, nature and the everyday adventure of family life. I am not sure where it will take us but first stop… Vietnam.
